Dr. Rebecca Lara, PT, DPT
Rebecca Lara, an esteemed member of the Cadence Physical Therapy team, brings a rich background and deep expertise to her role as a Physical Therapist. Born and raised in Buffalo Grove, Rebecca attended Stevenson High School before embarking on her academic journey in Kinesiology at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. She then advanced her education at Rosalind Franklin University, where she earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Her educational path reflects a steadfast commitment to understanding the human body and its potential for healing and improvement.
With years of valuable experience in the Outpatient Orthopedic Setting, Rebecca has developed a comprehensive approach to physical therapy. She holds firm to her core values of honesty, integrity, and respect, which guide her patient-centered care. Specializing in treating a variety of orthopedic and neurologic conditions, Rebecca is particularly skilled in dry needling, a technique she effectively uses in conjunction with physical therapy exercises to expedite pain relief. Her passion extends to treating patients with balance deficits, where she expertly incorporates balance training into therapy sessions to enhance real-life safety and mobility. Rebecca’s holistic approach means she sees beyond the symptoms, aiming to understand and treat underlying causes of discomfort and pain.
